Quick-Response Power Supply Circuit

Direct Construction and DSD Single-Chip Decoding
Direct Construction builds the shortest and simplest signal paths to keep noise and distortion at a minimum. The unique single-chip decoding of the DSD signals minimises the signal path length of the digital circuitry, creating brilliant noise-free sound.

Low-Jitter Oscillator Circuit for Precision Clock
The crystal oscillator produces extremely stable, low-jitter pulses, allowing it to serve as a precision master clock. The minimal time-axis errors lead to the most accurate reproduction of sound imagery.

Twin Burr-Brown D/A Converters
To process the high-density signals from the SACD, 192 kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown D/A converters are parallel-connected in mono mode. This sophisticated layout improves the S/N ratio by 3 dB (1.4 times), as well as enhancing linearity, dynamic range and distortion response. Even the most delicate nuances of low-level musical signals will be preserved.

Pioneer-Exclusive Legato Link conversion PRO and Bi-Bit Technology
The Legato Link Conversion PRO quadruples the sampling rate, for minimal phase shirt across the entire audio frequency range for smooth and natural sound. Hi-Bit technology expands the sound data length from 16-bit to 24-bit for requantisation, to provide clear, rich audio from even extremely minute signals.

Clean Ground for Low Noise
The digital ground is completely separate from the analogue ground, eliminating interference for crystal-clear sound. This sophisticated design especially contributes to the high-fidelity SACD performance.

Select High Grade Parts
The main capacitor in the power supply section features Pioneer’s original cathodes and electrolytes for optimal audio reproduction. Other quality parts include film capacitors with OFC leads, and D/A converters with audio carbon resistors on the output circuit. Every inch of this system incorporates select fine parts to reproduce the original music in its purest form.
