The AVIC-F10BT also offers a wide variety of map views tailored to different driving experiences. For example, “Rear View” enables you to watch your cargo in tow with your optional back-up camera while simultaneously being able to view the map.

High-resolution 2D and 3D maps provide renderings of nearby landmarks and terrain to help you navigate the world around you.

Enter your destination and choose between six different route options, depending on your preferred travel path, including distance and time. What’s more, if you know a short-cut, the AVIC-F10BT will learn it from you and incorporate the short-cut into relevant future journeys, meaning you never have to battle with a navigation system trying to get you back on its nominate route course.

For motorists continually frustrated by traffic congestion, the AVIC-F10BT has SUNA traffic management built-in, offering live traffic assistance from the time the system first calculates your travel route, to the time you arrive at your destination.
 
Taking into account traffic conditions, such as congestion, accidents and road works, the AVIC-F10BT will display these incidents on the screen with audio and visual prompts to avoid traffic on route.

Like all Pioneer AVIC solutions, the AVIC-F10BT partners up with Pioneer’s AVIC Feeds PC application, enabling motorists to import information directly from your PC onto the AVIC-F10BT. AVIC Feeds gives motorists the flexibility to personalize their AVIC-F10BT, by being able to create your own Points Of Interest (POI), driver reports, as well as customize the look and feel of the unit.

Virtually any location, such as camping grounds, ski resorts, stadiums or tourist destinations, can be created as points of interest. You can simply browse Google Maps or Whereis® mapping and push a search result through to AVIC Feeds, which automatically converts the data into a new POI on the AVIC-F310BT.

Create driving reports, particularly useful if you need to calculate your travel expenses in a given period, this application will keep track and provide you with an overview of all the journeys you’ve made and the number of kilometres travelled. You can also see how economically you have been driving. ‘Eco Report’ and ‘fuel consumption’ gives you an evaluation of your acceleration and brake data and also calculates your CO 2 emissions.

You can then view a graphical representation of this data on your PC.


How do I maintain hands-free mobile phone communication?
The AVIC-F10BT is equipped with built-in Bluetooth for convenient and safe wireless connection, using a Parrot Bluetooth phone interface.

After pairing a compatible Bluetooth enabled cell phone and using the “phone book transfer” function to transfer a cell phone’s contacts/phone-book into the navigation system users can have quick touch-screen access to their contacts/phone-book. All conversations are clearly relayed through your car’s speakers.

Five phones can be registered in the system with 1000 contacts available per user.


How do I listen and control my digital music collection?
Built to navigate, but born to entertain, the AVIC-F10BT offers audio and video playback from the most popular formats.

Whether you’re watching DivX® files on DVD, H.264 video on SD card or listening to music on a CD or portable MP3 player, there are dozens of playback options for your favourite media.

The USB interface located at the rear of the unit provides a connection to compatible portable media devices including thumb drives, flash memory devices, and iPod/iPhone music players.

Connect your iPod or iPhone directly to the AVIC-F10BT (via supplied cable) and enjoy your music and videos with complete control of the menu’s shuffle function, songs, podcast and audio book chapters via the touch screen. Album artwork is also displayed directly from the iPod.
