Introducing two new in-car CD players from Pioneer. The DEH-P4050UB and DEH-P6050UB both designed for improving sound quality and connectivity to all portable music devices.
There is no doubting the popularity of iPod®, MP3 and USB portable music devices at the moment. Aware of this growing trend Pioneer has developed the Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR) a patented sound technology designed especially to enhance the quality of MP3 files from portable music devices such as iPod®, USB and MP3 files stored on CD. ASR sound technology automatically restores the harmonics which were lost during the audio compression process when (MP3, WMA and AAC) are created. ASR adjusts frequency response and sound pressure, especially in the high and low frequency ranges, to revitalise the density and presence of the compressed signal. The result is an improved sound quality with its staging, density and feeling restored closely to the quality of the original CD.

The headunit keeps song, artist, time and album information displays very clear and user-friendly, and control is intuitive through the 7-Way Rotary Commander. The system's wired USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the iPod® for clean, clear sound. When searching for artist/album, you can initiate alphabet search by pressing "List" button. Compatible with DEHP6050UB and DEHP7050BT

Hear the detail, warmth and clarity, the way the artist intended it, from all highly compressed MP3, WMA and AAC files stored on USB memory device, iPod® and portable digital players. By restoring data (especially higher frequencies) that tend to get lost in the digital compression process, Pioneer’s Advanced Sound Retriever technology enhances audio reproduction nearly all the way up to 20 kHz frequencies.
