Published January 24 2019 – THE NOTICE ABOUT WAZE SUPPORT ON APP RADIO MODE

Dear Valued Pioneer Customer

We would like to share the information that Waze has announced that they will end their support on usage of Waze in App Radio Mode. It will end at the end of March 2019.
We, Pioneer, do not have any authorities on the control of 3rd party apps and services provided via App Radio Mode as it is mentioned on the EULA.
We would like to recommend customers use CarPlay, Android Auto and Pioneer Smart Sync to use Waze as an alternative.

Published April 27, 2018- INCOMPATIBILITY ISSUE WITH IPOD SOURCE FUNCTION ON SPECIFIC PIONEER MODELS.

Dear Valued Pioneer Customer:

Following the recent Apple iOS update to 11.3x, Pioneer has discovered an incompatibility issue with the USB-Direct iPod function on five Australian headunit models.

Recent product testing discovered users will receive an error message when they connect an iPhone or iPod touch (running iOS 11.3x) to the USB input and select the iPod source function.

The five models impacted; AVH-295BT, AVH-285BT, AVH-275BT, MVH-AV290BT and MVH-AV280BT.

Pioneer is currently working on a resolution and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience. To receive updates on a resolution, Pioneer recommends you register here. In the meantime, please note the following:

• Users can still connect their iPhone or iPod touch to any of the five Pioneer models listed above, by Bluetooth.
• Android OS devices are not affected.
• Pioneer will continue to update everyone with announcements on the Australian website and Facebook page.
